“Was a lovely evening, the demonstration of the facial and the lady who did it was so good and knowledgeable. Only thing i would say is maybe more seating when stood for a long time in the sessions can get uncomfortable”

“I really enjoyed the new open evening event, it was great to see the fresh spaces and they all look really premium- the salt stone experience sounds great and I love the new products, I feel the oud smell could be stronger as I didn’t get any distinctive fragrance from this It would be good for further events to have smaller groups with a properly timed treatment for each session, as some sessions made us early for the next one by 30 minutes as they went really quickly It would also be good to have some sort of dinner/grazing or food options available as it was right between dinner time and the snacks provided were quite limited”

“Very exclusive and relaxing. Week days are the best in an evening as there are less people there. The facilities are clean. The decor and offering of the spa is really nice, as are the staff, Hazel was brilliant. I’ve been to a lot of spas and had lots of treatments but I have to say the quality of this treatment was top tier, I came away very relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We also enjoyed food and drink downstairs. I would highly recommend. Note if you’re going, don’t forget to pack some flip flops to walk around in. Not provided.”

“I have been for a ladies only session with my mum and auntie, and now a mixed session with my husband, and both experiences have been absolutely great. I think having the option for the different sessions is a huge positive and allows more people to access the baths who typically might avoid. The staff are always very attentive and the facilities are well maintained and clean. Yet to have a treatment but that's next on the list!”

“I had a very relaxing time overall. The staff was incredibly helpful and I thoroughly enjoyed my scrub and hammam treatment. The only downside was the loud noise of people talking in the steam rooms. These should be quiet areas and it was difficult to relax and enjoy the soothing music.”

“I always enjoy coming to the Turkish baths because the staff here are very friendly and are attentive to your needs. Also the surrounding areas within the spa itself are cleaned regularly and the towels are replenished regularly which means you don’t have to worry about using too much of them. I love the incense as it helps you to relax and also love helping myself to the variety of the drinks that are on offer in the cafe. I give it 10/10. Highly recommend. Thank you.”

“If you’re looking for the best hammam and massage experience in Sheffield, I highly recommend Turkish Baths & Spa 1877. The whole experience was incredibly relaxing from start to finish. The hammam scrub treatment was definitely the highlight very refreshing, and left my skin feeling unbelievably smooth afterwards. The massage was equally impressive, helping release all the tension. What stood out most was how attentive the team were throughout the visit. You can tell they genuinely care about giving guests a good experience. It’s one of those places where you leave feeling completely refreshed and already planning your next visit. Definitely one of the best spa in the U.K.!”

“I've been visiting these Turkish Baths for years. They've closed a couple of times over the decades but were taken over, reopened and refurbished in recent years. The owner has down an excellent job of improving the facilities and the staff are really lovely; welcoming and friendly. There's now also the Plant Room Cafe. I've visited with friends and also on my own. I've gifted vouchers for the spa and been gifted vouchers. It's a lovely experience and one I can recommend.”

“I visited the Baths for the first time today, I will absolutely be back. I live fairly locally and have been meaning to book myself into for a long time. I arrived early, the staff were really accommodating and booked me in. I had time to get changed and have some lunch before my treatments. (Lunch was beautiful) as I hadn’t been before, I asked if it was ok to have a look around the facilities as I hadn’t booked to use the baths but wanted to see what was available. I will be booking myself in for the baths very soon, they look fabulous. I had booked for the Japanese head spa and a full body massage. Both of these were done by a wonderful woman named Vee who I will absolutely be asking for the next time I go. I’m looking forward to recommending to friends and taking them with me the next time I go.”

“I am always impressed by the service I receive when I visit 1877 . I don’t go on a regular basis but the staff still remember my name and always make me feel very welcome. The spa is the perfect size so that it feels that you can have some quiet time but is also perfect for visits with groups of friends. There is a very calm , relaxed atmosphere and everyone is very respectful. I only attend the women only sessions and greatly appreciate that these are provided. The only reason I haven’t awarded 5 stars is because of the lack of any decent imaginative vegan options in the cafe. If these were available I would probably eat there too.”

“The 1877 Baths are so unique and a wonderful space to be in that I have made it a monthly treat!. It is always inviting, clean and spacious, so even when busy there is plenty of rooms to relax in. I enjoy the range of ladies only sessions and treatments available. My favourite treatment is the Hammam Scrub, although I will try the Mud Wrap next time for that extra treat! Parking is readily available, I recommend the Fitzwilliam Street car park for spaces. It is just a short walk from there to the Spa.”
